I can’t believe it’s not coated

The Capstone magazine: Chock-full of engaging content and bursting with eye-popping color, the sophomore issue of the Syracuse University Honors Program magazine, The Capstone, hit mailboxes this month.

Doubling as a brochure, the magazine is truly the program’s ambassador to the campus and the world. In addition to current news and features, there are stories highlighting key elements of the program.

From the start, the program wanted the publication to be as environmentally responsible as possible, so uncoated stocks with a minimum of 10% post-consumer waste were specified. The magazine is FSC certified and printed with UV inks, which do not use solvents and produce lower emissions than conventional inks. The inks are cured within seconds of being printed so they do not settle into the stock—making for especially vibrant reproduction on uncoated paper.
